Individual youth players will be required to register with AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) before youth teams will be permitted to participate in the AIHA. Youth inline hockey programs will also be required to register with AAU. An inline “program” is not to be confused with an inline hockey “team”.

For example: The Phoenix Cobras youth inline hockey program has teams in the 8u, 10u and 12u divisions. Each Cobra youth team does NOT register with AAU. The COBRA inline hockey “program”, however, which is the entity that supervises and is responsible for the COBRA players and teams, IS required to register with AAU.

Adult and women players DO NOT register with AAU.

AAU Fees

Youth players (18u & below age divisions) must register with the ADDED BENEFIT membership for $14.00 in the ATHLETE CATEGORY. Coaches and assistants (a maximum of 3 allowed on the players bench) must register with the ADDED BENEFIT membership for $16.00 with AAU in the NON-ATHLETE CATEGORY. And finally, each inline hockey club must be registered with the AAU as a LEVEL 1 CLUB.
